Antigua has a rich history of coffee that goes back hundreds of years. Located in the southeastern region of Guatemala, the country’s rich volcanic soil contributes to the wonderful coffees grown in that region. Eddie Gomez , also known as “Don Guayo”, grows a special dwarf variant of the popular bourbon varietal which they lovingly refer to as “bourboncito”. While short in stature, this coffee plant stills packs a very flavorful cup and is an exemplary coffee for the region.
